Linode Integration
Linode (Akamai Cloud) support in Devpilot is planned. This page tracks what will be available when the integration launches.
Linode Integration
Coming soon. Linode (Akamai Cloud) appears on the Devpilot Integrations page as a planned provider. You cannot currently add Linode credentials or provision Linode instances from Devpilot.
Status
Linode is defined as a future cloud provider in Devpilot but is not yet available for provisioning. Specifically:
- Linode has no credential validator in the current release, so Devpilot cannot verify a Linode API token.
- Linode is not in the list of providers Devpilot can provision servers on. Selecting it from the provisioning form is not possible.
If you try to connect Linode today, the card is visible for visibility but the connect action is disabled.
What to Expect at Launch
When Linode becomes generally available in Devpilot, the integration will:
- Accept a Linode Personal Access Token as the primary credential
- Validate the token against the Linode API before saving
- Provision Linode instances in the region and plan you select
- Generate an SSH key, configure a firewall, and install the Devpilot agent on each new instance
In the Meantime
If you need low-cost compute today, use one of the currently supported providers:
DigitalOcean
Droplets with global regions and a similar developer-friendly pricing model.
Vultr
Global cloud compute with per-minute billing.
If you already run servers on Linode, you can still bring them into Devpilot via Connect an Existing Server today — only provisioning is pending.
