Payment Methods

Choose between Stripe, PayPal, and Flutterwave when paying for Devpilot, and save Stripe cards for reuse on future renewals.

Payment Methods

When you subscribe to a Devpilot plan you pick a payment gateway at checkout. Devpilot supports three gateways — Stripe, PayPal, and Flutterwave — and also lets you save Stripe cards so you do not have to re-enter your card details every time.

Gateways Available at Checkout

Stripe processes credit and debit card payments. When you pay with Stripe you can optionally save the card to your Devpilot account so it is available at the next renewal or when subscribing other workspaces.

Cards are stored by Stripe — Devpilot only keeps a reference, the card brand (for example Visa), the last four digits, and the expiry month and year so you can identify the card later.

Pay using your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a card stored in your PayPal wallet. Devpilot redirects you to PayPal to complete the transaction, then returns you to the dashboard once payment is confirmed.

PayPal payments are not currently stored as reusable payment methods inside Devpilot. You choose PayPal again at the next checkout.

Flutterwave covers local cards, bank transfer, and mobile money for users in Africa. The available channels and currencies depend on your country, and the options are shown on the Flutterwave checkout page.

Flutterwave payments are not currently stored as reusable payment methods inside Devpilot. You choose Flutterwave again at the next checkout.

Today only Stripe cards can be saved as reusable payment methods. PayPal and Flutterwave are fully supported for paying but have to be selected again each time you check out.

Saving a Stripe Card

You can add a Stripe card ahead of time, or save the card you use at checkout for future use.

Open Payment Methods

Go to Settings > Billing and scroll to the Payment Methods section.

Add a Card

Click Add Payment Method and choose the Stripe card option. Devpilot asks Stripe to prepare a secure setup so your card details never touch Devpilot servers.

Enter Card Details

Fill in the card number, expiry date, and CVC in the Stripe form. Submit the form to have Stripe validate and tokenise the card.

Confirm the Card Is Saved

Once Stripe confirms the card, it appears in your payment methods list showing the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiry date. If this is your first saved card, Devpilot marks it as your default automatically.

Setting a Default Card

Your default saved card is the one Devpilot will offer first the next time you subscribe or renew. To change it:

  1. Open Settings > Billing > Payment Methods.
  2. Find the card you want as default.
  3. Select Set as Default.

Only one saved card can be the default at a time.

Removing a Saved Card

To remove a saved card:

  1. Open Settings > Billing > Payment Methods.
  2. Find the card you want to remove.
  3. Select Remove and confirm when prompted.

Removing the card does not cancel any active subscription. It only deletes the stored card from Devpilot so it can no longer be picked at checkout.

Paying Without Saving a Card

You do not have to save anything before paying. When you subscribe to a plan you can pick Stripe, PayPal, or Flutterwave at the checkout screen and complete the payment without storing any details on Devpilot.
